<\/a>NEW YORK, Sep 13, 2014\/ — Inspired by the moment just before sun sets when the light dances upon the Grand Canal, Tadashi Shoji unveiled a romantic Spring 2015 collection that evokes the elegance and grandeur of Venice.<\/p>\nUnveiled on September 4, 2014 at the Lincoln Center during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York, the Tadashi Shoji Spring 2015 collection touched all the major trends this season beginning with the now ubiquitous black & white color palette.<\/p>\n
But, there were also the glowing pastels of frosted jade, pink shadow, and blue stone are built up in translucent layers. The inspiration is Venice after all, known for its brilliant colors. That\u2019s also the reason why the ultramarine blues of Venetian lagoons were also seen, this time they were paired with ivory and navy for contrast.<\/p>\n
This Spring, Tadashi Shoji sees intricate detailing that is paired with playful transparencies, another big trend this season in New York. We also find insets of chain mesh on tulle ornament the bodices and sleeves & multi-colored jeweled embellishments are inspired by Millefiori glass.<\/p>\n
Sheer mesh necklines give the illusion of floating dresses. Softly sculpted silhouettes are introduced with unexpected twists. Floor-length gowns are constructed with Capes attached. Dresses, cut from bonded spacer mesh, are both structured and airy.<\/p>\n
