MILAN, Jun 19, 2013/ — Tomorrow at Pitti Uomo, young Italian-Haitian designer Stella Jean will debut her menswear collection Stella Jean Homme as part of Pitti Italics, an Ethical Fashion Initiative which encourages the creation of luxury fashion that is 100% sustainable with the direct involvement of disadvantage communities in Easter and Western Europe and Haiti.
Commenting on her involvement with the Ethical Fashion Initiative, Stella Jean said, “I am honored to take part in a rally as important as Pitti Italics. It is a big honor while at the same time; it is also a great responsibility conveying a message through fashion with broad international impact.
On the catwalk, expect Stella Jean’s signature style of “Wax & Stripes Philosophy,” a key-concept in her design aesthetics.
And for her Spring/Summer 2014 collection, imagine when an Italian, a Burkinabe, a Haitian and Cuban (the four orthodox dandies players) decide to get lost in the streets of an imaginary Manhattan sixties.
