NEW YORK, Feb 13, 2015/ — During a very cold Thursday evening, Creative Director Michael Maccari heated up New York Fashion Week with his Perry Ellis Fall 2015 collection that investigated the sportswear and workwear roots of the brand.
Sending sharply tailored suits, coats, trousers and sweaters with the proportions and stripped-down styling of utilitarian clothing on the catwalk, the designer advanced the Perry Ellis man with clothes that looked both functional and luxurious.
Proposing modern takes on boiler suits, technical parkas, and the laborer jacket, Michael Maccari proved that utilitarian looks can be sexy.
