The concept behind my collection is cacti. The intricate symmetry and repeated pattern shapes found in some species of the plant influenced the three dimensional draping. The textile manipulations and development were derived from the tactile surfaces found on the plants. I wanted to infuse the idea of having sculptural garments meet manipulative surfaces.
