NEW YORK, Jun 1, 2012/ — Malan Breton the charismatic fashion Designer, TV personality and Celebrity columnist is entering the licensing arena.
He is pursuing product lines to develop the already established Malan Breton name and the Malan Homme brand. His aspiration is to encompass various fashion product lines with his name. Categories that are available are: sportswear, Men’s shirts, jeans, shoes, outerwear, handbags, eyewear, luggage and men’s and women’s accessories.
Malan has consistently shown his women’s collection during New York City Fashion Week since 2005. His quest to find modern silhouettes in suiting and sportswear inspired the Malan Breton’s HOMME Collection launched in 2010.
His Old English tailoring, vibrant use of color and his signature Chinoise fabric with silk metallic treads have garnered attention from major stores and fashion editors. He is a master shirt maker, he learned about shirting at the infamous Turnbull and Asser Company.
The Malan Breton Label has been carried in stores such as: Harvey Nichols and Lane Crawford. His clothes are in the Luxury Category. The men’s dress shirts start at $425.00 and his suits start at 2,600.00. Women’s evening apparel start at $1200.00.
Malan Breton was born in Taipei, Taiwan and currently lives in New York City and Paris. He was a contestant on season 3 of Bravo TV’s Project Runway.
He was the subject of a six part series on Bravo TV entitled “The Malan Show”. He has also designed for the prime time game show “Minute to Win It” on NBC, that earned him a nomination for the WGSN Global Fashion Award.
His flair for fashion and celebrity sightings are revealed in his weekly column for “OK Magazine”, entitled: Malan’s Musings.
His gowns are frequently seen on the red carpet. Some of the celebrities he has dressed are: Minnie Driver, Kathy Lee Gifford, Michael Buble’, Nolan Gerard Funk and many others.
