Líneas de la colección Febrero 2014
Infusing familiar garments with a striking new sense of modernity is the main focus of the collection, experimenting with the structure, proportions and fabric combinations of basic garments that convey a sense of comfort and warmth.
One of the key points of the collection is decentering the cuts and seams of patterns, combining different heights in the same garment. Taking advantage of the asymmetry created and mixing different volumes for example loose and unstitched or gathered with pleats or belts.
The materials range from simple wintery fabrics such as virgin felted wool, mohair, wool jersey, melanges, to more subtle and delicate fabrics with a base made of organza and wool threads sewn up on top with a devore effect decreasing as the collection progresses. Colour is introduced more broudly than in past collections however a refined colour scheme of varying shades of whites, greys, nudes and blacks allows form to take centre stage.
The innovative part of the collection is a material made of stone, giving each garment an extra value as it is a material formed by nature and always has different shapes, patterns and colors making every garment unique.
Some of the signature features of the Miguel Alex brand, such as kimono sleeves and see-through fabrics are presented in mature and elaborate forms, resulting in a final product with a strong personality.
