DALLAS, Jul 11, 2013/ — Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim heats up with Ipanema, the ultimate fashion flip flop, as the Official Footwear sponsor of the premiere swimwear fashion week.
The sponsorship, which will last for three years, is an exciting for Ipanema to take after just two years in the U.S. market. This year’s sponsor marks the beginning of the relationship between Ipanema and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim.
Ipanema described the collaboration as “the marriage between an event and brand that share in fashion, novelty, beauty, glamour and summer.” These connections make Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim a natural fit for Ipanema.

Named after one of the most famous beaches in the world, Ipanema has the beach in its DNA, and the brand knows there is no better place in the U.S. to fully launch themselves in the fashion community than at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim.
From July 18 th-22nd, 2013, Ipanema will host a poolside cabana and sponsor a selection of designer runway shows during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim.
As the Official Footwear Sponsor, Ipanema will have high visibility poolside, backstage and front of house throughout the event. Ipanema’s cabana will showcase their newest styles from the 2014 collection for the first time as well as a limited edition flip flop designed especially for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim.
