FLORENCE, Jan 11, 2014/ — The presentation at Pitti W was an immersive experience with the brand. It was held at a site specific modernist installation set against the historical architecture of the derelict Palazzo Portinari-Salviati.
A series of four rooms connects two tableaux vivants. These settings are fragments of a domestic environment that serve as the backdrop of for a series of intimate and mundane activities of the Casasola woman in situ.
A series of 12 projections is spread throughout the space. These are produced in collaboration with ShowStudio and feature Casasola Muse Jaime Bochert. The short disconnected sequences give the appearance of screen tests for a movie never made.
With a focus on moments of intimacy, the audience is introduced to a spirit and attitude of the Casasola woman.
Lapo Cianchi of Pitti Immagine describe the presentation as, “it is as though the simultaneously minimal and romantic style conceals a desire for greater affirmation and strength.”
