PARIS, Nov 5, 2010 / FW/ — Entitled “Massai” (French for Maasai), Georges Hobeika was inspired by the Maasai, a Nilotic ethnic group of semi-nomadic people located in Kenya and northern Tanzania who are well known for their distinctive costumes and dress.
Taking that influence and translating it to haute couture, Georges Hobeika proposed deep shades of red and purple for his accessories collection reflecting the richness of the Massai culture.
