NEW YORK, Feb 23, 2015/ — Italian designer Francesca Liberatore made a triumphant return to the New York runway and brought with her the “Super Hero Woman”.
Reinterpreting the shields and the stars of comic books super heroes, Ms. Liberatore put them on mini dresses which sometimes sport an asymmetrical hemline. Accessories did not escape the designer’s attention either as the star finding its way in gym bags.
With her signature pure aesthetic and conceived deconstruction, the Italian designer proposed strict tailoring, outerwear, precise lines using a black and white color palette.
Strong fabrics, leather, furs, heavy jacquards and, for the first time, knitwear with the bold battle colors: red and silver were used.
Fall 2015 is Francesca Liberatore second collection shown in New York. She is a winner of the prestigious DHL Exported Award twice in a row.
