MILAN, Jan 12, 2014/ — Yesterday, at via Tortona, Ennio Capasa unveiled a colorful Costume National menswear collection as he proposed different washes of gray and silver, blue to purple degradé and deep red for Fall 2014.
Though trousers are loose fitting, the cut is slim. Coats are also loose with defined shoulders.
The tailoring is crisp and the silhouettes range from fluid to architectural. Ennio Capasa’s main statement is color, which has always been one of his strengths.
A Fifth Avenue grouse might say that Capasa usually goes for the very safe black, but covering him for the past decade taught me that he is quite a colorist.
