NEW YORK, Dec 5, 2013/ — In an era of social media where sophistry is the name of the game, Francisco Costa decided to take a route to virtue and purity for his Pre-Fall 2014 Calvin Klein Collection.
Presenting a collection that embodies a sense of innocence with an understated, yet luxurious feel, Mr. Costa proposed silhouettes evoked a chic coziness with double breasted coats, layered cardigans and easy slip dresses.
The collection’s warmth and softness was expressed in an array of cashmere, shearling, alpaca and wool. A playfulness was seen throughout with oversized buttons and a mix of short and long proportions.
Creating a feeling of lightness, the palette featured a range of greys – spanning from vellum to pewter – and feminine touches of rose and Bordeaux. Looks were complemented with slippers and ankle strap heels in equally soft textures and hues.
