Badgley Mischka Fall 2014 SketchWith New York socialite and heiress Lydia Hearst Shaw sitting front row, Mark Badgley and James Mischka unveiled their Fall 2014 collection that was apt and fitting for Miss Hearst-Shaw and her circle of friends.

Dressing the uptown girls from day to evening, Badgley Mischka chose metallic shade of gold and brown, either as prints or solids as the base color palette. Interspersed with plaid and animal prints, daywear became luxury personified.

Still, it was the eveningwear that brought down the house. Red carpet dressing has always been Badgley Mischka’s strength and this collection proved their dominance. From ethereal gowns to voluminous frocks, knee-length cocktail dresses to figure-hugging floor-length numbers, the Fifth Avenue crowd has a lot to choose from.

And with the Oscars in the horizon, don’t be surprised if you see one or two silhouettes from this collection.
