The grandson of John Paul Getty II, August Getty grew up watching his mother Ariadne Getty opening larger than life boxes from the greatest couturiers of her time.
Drawing inspiration from those memories, August Getty sent out gowns and dresses that are influenced by Gianni Versace, Alexander McQueen and Courreges, among others.
August also called upon memories of wildly delightful European heiresses, statues and his family’s botanical gardens, resulting to a modern romantic collection as seen in the monochromatic gowns in black, white and oxblood. Add lavender and muted Rose, you then have a secret garden.
Glamour, power and prestige are seen in the fierce metallics seen in the collection. Fabrications include French custom made lace, leather and silks.
