Expected to arrive in U.S. stores soon, the adidas x Raf Simons Spring /Summer 2014 collection already has shoe aficionados in high alert.
This highly anticipated Spring/Summer 2014 collection follows up the highly sought-after Fall/Winter 2013-2014 collection where Simons and adidas broke new grounds with their “shoe-in-shoe” concept and established unique design codes while still managing to unveil new styles to create greater variance and depth to the adidas x Raf Simons label.
For Spring/Summer 2014, the breakthrough technology of adidas once again combines with the unique vision of designer Raf Simons to produce a range of innovative, unisex footwear.
Exciting additions to the collection this season include a remix of the Stan Smith tennis shoe and an adidas Bounce-inspired trainer with uppers printed in a seasonal pattern matching the Raf Simons apparel.
Based on each shoe’s individual tooling and design, both Performance and Originals logos may be featured, while some models boast the iconic three-stripe motif.
The resulting collection includes eight unisex models in up to 4 colorways for a total of over 20 unique designs. Each draws on a playful, comic-book aesthetic, incorporating exaggerated shapes and Lego colors.
Retail prices range from $440-$570. Arriving soon in the coming weeks, the collection will be available at adidas Originals concept stores, boutiques and retailers carrying RAF, and select sneaker specialists around the globe.
