DALLAS, Oct 27, 2010 / — ‘Tis the season to give thanks, so eyebobs, a company that designs high-quality eyewear with an irreverent attitude, introduces “Thick Eye,” a frame that both looks good and does good.
“Thick Eye” was designed by eyebobs fan Chris Gardner, the rags-to-riches hero depicted by Will Smith in the movie The Pursuit of Happyness.
Throughout November and December, eyebobs will be donating 75% of the proceeds from the sale of this frame to the Glide Foundation, a non-profit that strives to create a healthy community by offering services that foster holistic healing in an environment of cultural integrity and diversity.
What’s more, anyone who donates $20 or more to the Glide Foundation will be entered to win one of 15 autographed copies of Gardner’s best-selling memoir The Pursuit of Happyness.
Says Gardner, “Those of you who’ve seen the movie may know Glide as the homeless shelter and soup kitchen that assisted my son and me during our period of homelessness in the early 1980s. Glide today continues the work helping the community that the church and its pastor Rev. Cecil Williams have been committed to for nearly 50 years.’”
