While some may see Wimbledon as the tennis match of the year, others are looking past the sporting action and into the stands instead. This year’s Wimbledon was filled with plenty of highs, and excitement, and not just on the court. As usual, a round of A-list celebrities were in attendance to take in a match or two, and were of course sporting the latest and most beautiful in fashion.
The Royals Were in Attendance
All eyes were on the royals this year, as both Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle enjoyed a match. The Duchess of Cambridge was there on the second day in a lovely and simple button-up dress in white under the label of Suzannah, a British designer. She finished the look off with an Alexander McQueen clutch, the ultimate in high-fashion.
Meanwhile, the Duchess of Sussex showed up on the fourth day of competition to watch the match between Serena Williams and Kaja Juvan. Meghan is of course very good friends with Williams, so it wasn’t that much of a surprise that she showed up to support her friend.
Meghan went the route of casual chic in a black Lavender Hill top, a pair of denim pants, and topped it off with a white striped L’Agence blazer to give it a bit of sophistication. Eagle-eyed spectators also noticed that she wore a necklace with the letter “A” on it, which was of course thought to be in reference to her son Archie.
Bright Summer Hues
While the royals kept things classic and chic, other celebrities went the route of bright and summery. Take Janelle Monae who sported knee high socks, a striped two-piece set, and a baker boy hat. Far from traditional!
Then there was model Hana Cross – Brooklyn Beckham’s girlfriend – who wore a bright lime green Realisation Par dress.
Rochelle Humes, a former member of The Saturdays, was also in attendance in a brightly coloured milkmaid tea dress from New Look. This was an example of trendy and fashionable at a reasonable price.
Get Your Hands on the Must-Haves
It seems as though celebrities are constantly starting new trends, or just solidifying current ones, which helps to pave the way of fashion and consumers. If you spotted a number of must-haves from your favourite celebrities at the match, but don’t exactly have the funds up-front to finance a new wardrobe, there is a quick and easy solution.
