If you believe you know sneakers, think again. Parisian luxury label Maison Kitsuné has collaborated with Los Angeles-based Brandblack to design four whimsical footwear styles.
Officially hitting stores on November 2, 2018, the limited-edition collection titled ‘Dream Amplifier’ features colorful bulky sneakers and socks-with-sandals reinterpreted with Maison Kitsuné’s seasonal color palette.
The look – chic and laid-back – adopts hints of nerdiness, revealing a perfect balance between retro and future, for a wardrobe influenced by the new technological zeitgeist.
The Maison Kitsuné x Brandblack AURA runner ($230) features full-grain Nappa leather and suede panels that wrap over a contemporary flat-knit sock upper. It rides atop the chunky Vibram RollinGait System for excellent transition and support and is secured with a TPU speed lacing system. The Aura comes in a green, grey, and red version for men while the women’s build uses splashes of pink and burgundy.
The Maison Kitsuné x Brandblack TABI sandal ($280) features a water-resistant 360-degree tubular knit that rides atop Vibram outsoles with the iconic Maison Kitsuné fox on the heels. The Tabi comes in a black, grey, and burgundy look for men while the women’s version gets a colorful red, burgundy, and yellow colorway
The collection is available on www.maisonkitsune.fr and will also be available across Maison Kitsuné stores, and authorized retailers.
