Calvin Klein Collection and legendary artist Charles Atlas teamed up to create a unique collaboration that fuses fashion and artistry that includes dynamic still images and videos.
Shot in New York City, the global campaign features models Grace Hertzel and Filip Hrivnak – both of whom walked in the women’s and men’s Fall 2015 Calvin Klein Collection runway shows, respectively – as well as models Tami Williams, Maartje Verhoef and Otto Pierce.
The brand’s Women’s Creative Director, Francisco Costa, and Men’s Creative Director, Italo Zucchelli, worked closely with Mr. Atlas to turn their shared vision into reality.
Mr. Atlas is widely regarded as one of the most influential and innovative artists to work in film and video. He has explored virtually every genre of film and video and is credited as a pioneer in the creation of media-dance, a blend of video and performance in which original dance is created specifically for the camera.
His work has been shown at various international institutions including the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Museum of Modern Art in New York; the Musée National d’Art Moderne Centre Pompidou in Paris; and the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London.
The Fall 2015 advertising campaign was produced under the creative direction of Calvin Klein’s in-house ad agency and creative studio, and will comprise of a strategic mix of print, digital and outdoor advertising.
