For the seventh edition of CITTA’ DEI SASSI Fashion Award, Taranto-native Daniele Desiati won the Critics Prize and the Special Prize “Collezioni Haute Couture”.
Held every year, the CITTA’ DEI SASSI Fashion Award recognizes emerging designers in the field of women’s fashion and invites them to show their talents in the splendid scenery of the “Sassi” of Matera (UNESCO World Heritage and European Capital of Culture 2019).
The event, organized by Publimusic.com of Sabrina Gallitto with the assistance of Regione Basilicata, Municipality of Matera, the District of Matera, with APT Agency of Tourism Promotion of Basilicata, of Commission Matera 2019, CNA-Federmoda, with Lucana Film Commission, art director Enzo Centonze, format director Paolo Fumarulo, choreographed and directed by Stefania Coralluzzo, scenography Marianna Coretti, music coordinator Vincenzo Scasciamacchia, press agent Nicola Altomonte, assistant Ileana Mazzei, media partners Agon Channel and Collezioni Haute Couture, magazine of reference in the fashion industry for nearly three decades, was presented by TV personality and showgirl Veronica Maya and took place in the beautiful Piazza San Francesco d’Assisi of Matera.
Eight the designers competed for the prize: Johanth Chacon, Stefano Montarone , Carlo Cecchini, Luca Tomassoli, Andrea Perrino, Bruno Jaison, Daniele Desiati, Annalisa Di Lazzaro, Priscilla Aceti.
Fashion Award at the Cinema, this year dedicated to the actress Anita Ekberg and the Fashion Award “Matera 2019” were given to the Venezuelan designer Johanth Chacon.
The Lifetime Achievement Award was awarded to veteran journalist Paola Cacianti.
