NEW YORK, Sep 12, 2014/ — Entitled “In Bloom”, the Desigual Spring 2015 was inspired by nature’s flora and fauna.
The brand collaborated with French couturier Christian Lacroix to magnify the timeless tradition of giving bouquets of flowers to women.
With the mantra “Say something nice!” Desigual unveiled its Spring 2015 collection on September 4th at the Lincoln Center during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York.
Opening with Brazilian supermodel and bombshell Adriana Lima, the show immediately became a high-octane affair as models paraded in shorts, tunic, minis, sheath dresses and harem pants – the brand’s “Happy Casual” collection.
A colorful, multicultural bouquet took center stage as the audience saw the cool Mediterranean spirit being combined with South American motifs. The classic English garden blooms met the Iberian Peninsula’s landscape; and a western countryside was influenced by sweeping European geometry.
The collection celebrated the season’s warm weather with daisies in bloom, desert roses, tropical hibiscus and Mexican dahlias; flowers freshly cut from an imaginary garden.
A blossoming kaleidoscope, the collection is a gift meant to inspire happiness, one bloom at a time.
