BERLIN, Jul 18, 2014/ — On Thursday, July 10th, at the Erika Heiss Ice Stadium as part of Mercedes-Benz
Fashion Week Berlin, Laurèl presented its Spring/Summer 2015 Collection entitled “Bohemian Summer”.
A tribute to zest for life, the message of the collection is about taking the time to savor luxury to the full, about passion that inspires and electrifies.
Brimming with assurance and confidence – and so radiant, so feminine; inspired by the élan and euphoria of the Sixties and Seventies, Laurèl travels into summer with the jet set of that era.
Fascinated by the style of Jane Birkin, sunning herself in St. Tropez, the collection presents the “Luxury Hippie” and throws light on the burning question of what style icons like Birkin would have taken along in their suitcases.
Highlights include a full-length white crocheted dress, hand-crafted in four weeks of work, and a nonchalantly casual silk jumpsuit – a real eye-catcher which star guest Bar Refaeli immediately fell in love with and was seen wearing soon afterwards – in Pink.
On the catwalk, VIP model Jana Ina Zarrella was radiant in a Brazilian-inspired emerald-green kaftan with stunningly detailed beaded embroidery. Other typical hippie looks included the use of ultra-soft goatskin suede for flowing, feminine styles such as shirt tops, an overall and a fringed cape.
As a special focus two stunning new art prints by artist JoNetzko were premiered, adding a uniquely distinctive element to the collection. Silhouettes are feminine and supple. Rich, powerful shades from Lime and Raspberry to Opal, Emerald and Royal Blue are designed to make women glow.
Mini and maxi lengths create interesting interplays of form, while a casual note is added by layering. Embroidery and decorative costume gems bring touches of ethno glamour. New fabrics like laser-cut jersey and neoprene introduce sporty elements that reflect the clean chic at the heart of this concept and bring it up to date.
The models’ styling was a celebration of “Bohemian Summer”, with glimpses of casual bikini tops, playful hairbands, mirrored round glasses and dreamy make-up that makes the most of eyes with eyeliner in Opal and thick, luscious lashes.
Laurèl translates the assured femininity of the Sixties and Seventies into cutting-edge contemporary looks for the summer of 2015, presenting the lifestyle of a woman with the lightness of true class.
