NEW YORK, Jul 17, 2012/ — For the official opening ceremonies of the 2012 Olympics in London, Ralph Lauren Corporation is wardrobing the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams.
As the official outfitter of Team USA, Ralph Lauren has designed Team USA’s Official Opening and Closing Ceremony Parade Uniforms as well as a unique collection of village wear apparel and accessories which embodies the spirit of American athleticism and sportsmanship.
“It’s a privilege to play a part in the London Games and to celebrate the achievements of these premier athletes as they represent our nation on the world’s biggest stage,” said David Lauren, Ralph Lauren’s Executive Vice President of Advertising, Marketing and Corporate Communications.
Drawing on the spirit and history of the Olympic Games and a tradition of refined American style, Ralph Lauren’s 2012 Team USA Opening Ceremony Uniforms feature classic silhouettes in a timeless palette of navy and white with pops of red. U.S. Olympians Heather Mitts (soccer) and Tim Morehouse (fencing), revealed the men’s and women’s Opening Ceremony parade uniforms on the Today Show Tuesday morning.

As an extension of its partnership with Team USA, Ralph Lauren will launch the Ralph Lauren Rally, an interactive experience that allows fans to cheer on Team USA via Facebook or through a mobile site. The cheers, hosted on RalphLaurenRally.com, will be showcased to Team USA in London during team processing and throughout USA House. For each cheer submitted, Ralph Lauren Corporation will donate $1 (up to $25,000) to Team USA.
