Michael Doyle: Student, Associate of Applied Science, Fashion Design, The Art Institute of New York City
Born and raised in Massachusetts, Michael Doyle worked as a union carpenter in Boston until age 24. He enrolled in the Fashion Design program at The Art Institute of New York City in pursuit of a more creative and less physical career.
He was one of the students selected to show his Spring/Summer 2014 collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in September, and has held internships with Anya Ponorovskaya and J. Mendel.
“I like to evoke emotion in my designs, and am a serious advocate for the coexistence of art and fashion as one,” he says. “I lean towards the avant-garde, historical, and experimental, yet with a strict discipline of what is modern and transferable into the day.”
