DALLAS, Jan 26, 2014/ — In the words of designer Monique Lhuillier herself, “Spring 2014 is all about the art of sheer elegance.”
This season is dedicated to delicately balanced textures, innovative layering and sophisticated ease. A rich color palette of coral, fuchsia and red pop against neutrals like cream, soft rose gold and nude.
For day, textured organza with metallic threading offers a glimpse of cropped bandeaus while lace tunic dresses and pencil skirts skim below the knee. Silhouettes range from a palazzo pant romper to a lace sweater with removable embellished collar.
Evening gowns evoke ease and elegance. Rich chocolate brown replaces black in ombré chiffon with regal draping. Separates, like ball gown skirts and cropped bandeaus, are a new interpretation of traditional eveningwear.
