MILAN, Jan 14, 2014/ — Having travel as a theme is nothing new. In fact, travelling is a recurring theme to many designers. Yet for Fall 2014, Daks’ take on the travelling man stands out with its romantic slant.
Usually, we have the jetsetters setting the tone. This time, the traveler chose to go slow. Instead of a jet plane he is travelling by train, even by foot or perhaps a horse. There is no hurry or urgency. In fact, it is the opposite.
The Daks gent is calm even restive. Though there is purpose, he does not demonstrate celerity. In fact, he affects an old world charm. And thus, he radiates romance, which by the way seems to be the message of this collection.
