PARIS, Jan 11, 2014/ — “I wanted to capture those care-free moments when girls are alone together. To reveal the shared moments of connectedness, when the masks fall away and everything is easy and natural,” commented Clare Waight Keller, Chloe Creative Director about the very evocative Chloe Spring/Summer 2014 campaign.
Headlined by Lou Dillon and Julia Stegner, the Chloé mise-en-scène is about a sisterhood, a friendship. The specific story is hidden so the viewer is able to enjoy the beauty of the moment in a poetically artful way; generating a sense of time and space as well as setting a mood and suggesting the character’s state of mind.
It’s about the last weekend of summer when the light has turned golden, serenity smiles & whispers, as two friends make memories of their sisterhood.
Lou Doillon asks questions invoking thought, inviting women into the world of Chloé. The sound is of summer: the natural environment, birds, crickets, wind, the laughter and joy of two women. The behaviour between the women is very strong yet soft. The emotion of Chloé is captured.
This campaign also sees the renewal of an iconic partnership between the Chloé Maison and photographers Inez and Vinoodh. First joining the Chloé family in 2004, Inez and Vinoodh have since shot several memorable campaigns for the brand.
