DALLAS, Jun 9, 2005/ FW/ --- ‘Different strokes for different folks,’ goes an old saying. Last Christmas, Bergdorf Goodman paraphrased it to ‘It Takes All Sorts to Make A World,’ emphasizing the diversity of the world we live in.
From a mythological scene of a mannequin dressed like a Minotaur to a ballerina and a group of children waiting for Santa, the merchandise on display are as diverse as the store windows.
Still, with the unified message of ‘diversity,’ though at first glance this series of 9 store windows can be called ‘as eclectic as they come, the visual merchandiser pulled all of them together with aplomb without losing focus at all.
More importantly, to the passersby, upon seeing all the windows, the message was apparent, even very engaging to the point that one would like to see all of them so that they can see what the message was.
Though this series of store windows worked very well, the message could have easily been lost if not handled properly.
Hence, when creating a set of eclectic store windows, one must try to keep the focus.
