DALLAS, Jun 9, 2005/ FW/ --- When Neiman Marcus, owner of Bergdorf Goodman put itself up for sale last March, there was a certain hush in luxury retailing while Wall Street cheered.
Long been a purveyor of luxury retailing in all its stores, Neiman Marcus through Bergdorf Goodman always raised the ante providing great customer service and the best merchandise money can buy in its stores.
The store windows of Bergdorf Goodman reflect that retail philosophy – a tradition of leadership in high fashion retailing and for the strong relationships it has built with its affluent customers.
These three windows that were dedicated to evening gowns are located at the Fifth Avenue entrance. Smaller than the other store windows that surround the store, the visual merchandiser chose to use very little props and make the background dramatic without taking away from the merchandise on display.
The windows are straightforward presentations; nonetheless, the drama was created by the mannequin and the background.
As for the Neiman Marcus Group, early last month, it was reported that private-equity firms Texas Pacific Group and Warburg Pincus would buy the company for about $5.1 billion. The deal is expected to be consummated by November 1, 2005.
