It began in 1923 when Barney Pressman, founder of Barneys New York opened his first shop selling men's suits. In 1960, Barney's son Fred took over the store and transformed it from a specialty men's store to a fine clothing and accessories store. Four decades hence, we have Barneys New York as a spearhead of fashion.
