PARIS, Jul 1, 2003/ FW/ --- One of the treats of each Paris men's wear season, are the endlessly
refreshing collections by Wooyungmi. Even as the thermometer soared towards
the century mark on a stifling Sunday afternoon, her show managed to break
like a fresh wave.
Wooyungmi's look is neat, clean and understated. She works largely in solid
colors, and designs pieces that are subtly detailed, congruent, and a
certain sure fire commercial success.
This season, tunic tops came with round collars, while shirts were icy
silver and forest green.
A deep cherry silk tux was paired with plum
trousers that fell to just below the knee.
Lace sleeveless sweaters, knee
length shorts and knit caps gave the collection a youthful edge, while cool
shirts trailed by streamers and tuxes with satin lapels added notes of
refinement.
After the white sandal-clad models trailed out, the gracious Korean designer
took a well deserved bow.
