MILAN, Aug 2, 2006/ FW/ --- The Trussardi man had been shipped out of Italy and got transplanted at Orange Country, California, and had become The O.C. lads leading an idyllic life in this wealthy harbour-front community where everything is just perfect.
Sleek swimsuits to elasticized surfing trunks in tropical prints to sharply tailored suits that are one-button, two-button or double-breasted, the Trussardi gent blends perfectly in the Southern California environment.
Trousers are cut wide and low crouch for ease of movement and so are the cut-off shorts that can be worn with a belt featuring a Trussardi logo belt-buckle.
Everything is easy-going – from the crew neck striped tees to the V-neck long-sleeves pullovers with collars. Cardigans in opulent cashmere come in solids and stripes that can easily go from an idyllic lunch to casual dinner.
It’s a new and casual look for Trussardi as it embraced the California lifestyle. The lads wore suede bomber jackets with a ruffled shirt underneath. The old-world elegance is there combined with the free-spirited California spirit.
With jackets knotted around the hip and big totes carried on the shoulder, the Trussardi lad can easily fit into the UC Berkeley or Stanford campuses. Clean cut with a rakish attitude especially in denim jeans and jackets, they can fit as casts and characters in Fox’s hit TV show, The O.C.
