MILAN, Jun 24, 2006/ FW/ --- Thank goodness for small miracles! After watching the decline of the use of realistic mannequins in store windows, seeing them gracing the shop windows in Milan’s Corso Buenos Aires is a welcome sight.

Corso Buenos Aires might not be a part of Milan’s Golden Triangle of shopping, but the foot traffic in the area make it as lively as Montanapoleone and via della Spiga. The latter two is where the tourists go, but in Corso Buenos Aires, the main clientele is the Milanese, hence you can really feel the beat of the city as you walk the avenue.

The sizzling temperature in Milan is reflected in the store windows, with the mannequins wearing summer clothes. One window that is entitles ‘Summer Sensations,’ even featured the desert, the background photo suggesting it might be from the Santa Fe, New Mexico area.

Of course, that is only an assumption because this is Europe after all, and the photo could have been taken somewhere in North Africa. Still, the message is clear – its summer, its hot and tank tops, minis and shorts are in.
