Chambre Syndicale de la Mode Masculine Elects New Officers
PARIS, Nov 28, 2006/ FW/ --- Patrick Thomas of Hermès and Christophe Caillaud of Jean Paul Gaultier have been elected President and Vice President of the Chambre Syndicale de la Mode Masculine, respectively.
The duo will be replacing Simon Burstein and Stéphane Wargnier, at the end of their mandates. That means that when the Paris menswear season rolls around on January 26th to 30th, 2007, both Thomas and Caillaud would have been invested in their new positions.
Established in 1973, the Chambre Syndicale de la Mode Masculine is composed of the couture houses and fashion designers of men’s ready-to-wear. The Président d'Honneur is Pierre Cardin.
The Chambre Syndicale de la Mode Masculine is one of the three chambers of the Fédération française de la couture, du prêt-à-porter des couturiers et des créateurs de mode.
The Federation is helmed by its long time President Didier Grumbach and has a total of about 100 members for its three chambers.
The oldest chamber is the Chambre Syndicale de la haute couture which was established in 1868.
