Daniel Faret: Exotic Travelers

PARIS, Jul 2, 2003/ FW/ -- On Place Vendôme the display windows of Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier and
Boucheron were hidden behind iron shutters early on Sunday morning.
But in
the Amethyst Room of the Park Hyatt, just around the corner, the jewels were
shining at the Danel Faret show.
Gentlemen were decked out in summer finery.
Ladies sported understated
versions of the new colorful Louis Vuitton sack, and rows of carefully
scripted chairs awaited the guests.
Nametags stretched out in long rows, a
veritable who's who of publishing.
At show time, we all just moved forward.
Out came an impressive array of top models sporting pastel print shirts,
washed jeans, and casual suits. The boy's faces were streaked with eye
liner, and their cheeks bronzed with powder.
Will shirtless in a trench, Samuel in caramel suede pants, and Liam in a
beige stretch sweater certainly helped things out.
Mellow paisley jackets, leather pants and satinized cotton tailcoats aimed
at transporting "The New Traveler" to exotic locations in the four corners
of the world.
