NEW YORK, Sep 17, 2006/ FW/ --- On the eve of unveiling their Spring 2007 collection, Badgley Mischka announced that Hollywood icon Sharon Stone will star in its upcoming advertising campaign.

The campaign, which will debut in October issues of magazines including Vogue, Elle and InStyle among others, follows the hugely successful launch campaign of last season featuring Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen.

Shot in Hancock Park in Los Angeles, by world-renowned photographer Gilles Bensimon, Sharon Stone wears six looks from Badgley Mischka’s Couture Collection in the campaign.

Set against the luxurious former estate of Dorothy Chandler, the legendary philanthropist who is credited with rejuvenating the performing arts in Los Angeles, the setting is a perfect backdrop to the collection’s opulence.

The looks include Deanna, a black shirred countessa gown, Agatha, a black/amethyst scarf and ribbon gown and Augusta, a ruby crinkled organza and velvet tango gown.

Commenting in her new role, Sharon Stone said, "I've known Mark and James for many years ever since they brought their gorgeous gowns to my house and spread them all over my living room. Since then, I've always thought of wearing their dress like going to a great party -- they're fun, elegant and intricately detailed."

Mark Badgley and James Mischka, who have always admired Sharon Stone’s work as an actress were ‘thrilled to work with the star of ‘Basic Instinct’ once again and continuing the relationship they have with her.
