Dominique Sirop Fall 2006 Haute Couture: The Bride Wore Black

PARIS, Jul 7, 2006/ FW/ --- In catwalk presentations, including haute couture, drama is as much as a part of the collection that is being shown. There has been something that will catch the audience’s eyes to make the show unforgettable. Dominique Sirop chose to dress his bride, the final look of the show in a gorgeous black mini dress with a flowing train that is exquisitely beaded.

It was surrealistically striking, a solemn bride that is hauntingly beautiful, her shoulders bare, her tiara glistening behind the black veil.

Dominique Sirop hit it right on the mark. The audience spontaneously applauded; the drama was not lost, it was appreciated.

Still, the bride in black was not really needed to make the collection unforgettable. Let’s put it this way… it was just the decisive factor. Because truly, the collection was so memorable that almost every exit received a round of applause from the audience.

Dominique Sirop cut trousers wide-legged, then paired with snug fitting jackets. The black mini apron dress with golden fabric gathered in big pleats in front was a head turner.

He played with volume and texture, putting red voile that was embroidered on the side over an iridescent off-white gown. Then, there was the fitted beige tube gown with a wide black sash that ended as a train.

Then, there is the tone-on-tone aquamarine gown with silver beaded chevrons that is fitted at top then softly flaring below the hips.

If was soft and delicate, balanced with a hard edge tautness; in street terms, it’s the good girl smoldering with sensuality inside.
